Membership

An annual membership to the most nutritious foods for your table. The only way to access our group of small family farms.

All of our members are required to join the Communities' Alliance for Responsible Eco-farming (CARE). The Annual CARE membership fee is $20.00.  CARE is a private organization consisting of farmers and community members. 

CARE farmers are good stewards of the land and livestock who sell directly to private community members. Their small family farms are clean and sustainable. CARE holds all their farmer-members to standards that are higher than the Pennsylvania Dept. of Agriculture's. 

Pleasant Pastures is a CARE member and all of our farming and production practices are according to CARE standards. The CARE standards agree with the ideals and goals of the Weston A. Price Foundation. Our arrangements are entirely through private contracts.  CARE farmers absolutely do NOT sell to the public. Each party enters into the CARE contract voluntarily. 

In both the CARE agreement, and the Farmer to Consumer agreement, the CARE farmer,  Pleasant Pastures,  promises to abide by CARE's quality and safety standards and the CARE member (you) attests that she/he understands the risks and benefits of raw dairy and that she/he attests that the farmer's products are for personal and family consumption ONLY.

Due to issues surrounding unprocessed, whole food, from private farms, we can only provide food to members of the Communities Alliance for Responsible Eco-farming (C.A.R.E.) who have contracts with Pleasant Pastures. It’s your responsibility to keep this membership current.

We also have referral packets available for you to hand out to any interested person. Thank you!

  • Absolutely, you're welcome to visit at any time; however, please call ahead to schedule an appointment. We are a working farm and want to be available to give you a tour of the farm, and show you the animals.
