Meet The Stoltzfus Family
Pleasant Pastures is a family farm operated by us—Daniel and Linda Stoltzfus—alongside our growing family, and founding farmer Ben. As second and third generation farmers, our mission is to produce high quality, nutritious food through regenerative farming practices.
Our goal is to empower our community with vibrant health while fostering a supportive Christian work environment for our team.
To us, success means ensuring our farm remains biologically and financially sustainable for the generations to come. This mission comes to life every day through the hard work of Cheryl and our dedicated “cowboys”, whose customer service and stewardship of our livestock and pastures is truly the backbone of everything we do.
From Conventional Band-Aids to Regenerative, Healthy Living Soils
In 1983, our parents, Ben and Anna, began farming the conventional way. For thirteen years, they relied on "band-aid" fixes, yet struggled with poor animal health and persistent pests. The turning point was a blessing in disguise, one year Ben was short on herbicide. When Ben cultivated a portion of the field by hand instead, he watched it thrive beyond any area that had been treated. We went completely organic then, and we’ve never looked back.
Our mission became personal in the early 2000s when a family member’s struggle with chronic allergies led us to the principles of the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF). Seeing the healing power of traditional, nutrient-dense foods changed our lives. Pleasant Pastures was born from a desire to share those results with you. Today, as second and third-generation farmers, we don't just grow food; we cultivate living soil that gives back to nature and provides your family with the vibrant health you deserve.
